“Begin at my sanctuary” (Ezekiel 9:6). God always starts His process of purifying in His own house. Peter said that judgment must “begin at the house of God” (1 Peter 4:17, KJV). The man in linen had an inkhorn in his hand and was instructed to “go throughout the city of Jerusalem and put a mark” on the forehead of every person who grieved and lamented over all the detestable things done in the land (Ezekiel 9:4). The average person has no care concerning the gross immorality and debauchery of our society. Such an individual thinks homosexuality is “gay,” abortion is “necessary” and drunkenness and adultery are “acceptable.” For God’s saints, however, these things are repulsive and deeply grievous. God marked Noah as righteous in his generation and spared only his family from the great flood. Even now, God is marking the foreheads of those whose lives are pure and who closely follow His commandments. Because this process begins in the sanctuary, check your “mark” today. Remember, one day on the final threshing floor, the death angel will remove the chaff from the wheat.
